Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers. I am one of the luckier ones whose father has always been just that a father. Of course growing up we didn’t always see eye to eye and still to this day we don’t always agree but the respect I have for him is unmatched. He made sure to provide the best for his family and did his absolutely best to make sure we had what we needed to survive. He taught me that hard work can get you as far as you want to go in life but also made sure to stress to me never to forget where I came from. Having the responsibility of others and operating a business can be stressful but I always look back at that lesson my dad taught me to never forget where I came from. As a leader it’s my responsibility to set the example and motivate my team through action at times. I don’t think my dad ever expected the lesson to stick we need my whole life but it has. He instilled with me a work ethic that we don’t see much anymore in our young adults and children. I am extremely appreciative of the little lessons my father has taught me through the years and can only hope a little bit rubs off on my children as well. To all the fathers out there doing what it takes to ensure their families are taken care of on a daily basis, Thank you and bless you. I hope you were able to spend time with your families today and enjoy some time to yourself perhaps. Keep grinding and keep teaching. Keep being a father. And to all the fathers out there taking care of children that are not biologically theirs I’d like to say Thank you and you’re freaking awesome. Keep doing what you’re doing as Father figures and please know even though it’s tough at times you slate extremely appreciated and loved.
To all the absent dads out there that have choose not to be part of your children’s lives you need to know it’s never to late. Get your shit together and make the effort to be in your kids lives. Do what you must to protect that relationship and salvage what you can. Children need their fathers, young adults need their fathers and adults need their fathers. Get your minds right and take some responsibility. Make an effort. If someone else is taking care of your kids make sure to say thank you and show some appreciation.
